Position: Hardware Design Engineer (Re: DE2602)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be a key contributor to the product development process, from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test embedded systems hardware.
  • Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium and Cadence CAD tools.
  • Select and integrate electronic components for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and execute hardware validation, verification, and debugging procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-firmware integration.
  • Work directly with clients to capture requirements, provide project updates, and translate their needs into robust hardware solutions.
  • Support manufacturing teams with prototype builds and production ramp-up.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5+ years experience of hands-on hardware design and PCB layout.
  • Experience with Cadence and/or Altium PCB design tools and up to date knowledge of the manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with high speed interfaces, common low-level interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.), and data communication interface (USB, Ethernet, CAN bus, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles.
  • Experience with hardware debug at the component level.
  • Competence in EMC/EMI testing, troubleshooting, and design-level mitigation.
  • Knowledge of FPGA design flow and tools for either Xilinx or Intel is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
